Fall is here, which means football season is in full swing. With a full line-up of games to watch, there’s no better time than now to create the perfect entertainment room. There are a few things to take into consideration when crafting your game day space, and we’re here to help. While organization may not be the number-one priority for your ideal TV-watching space, having things arranged can help you enjoy the big game a little better. You’ll be ready to cheer on your team with style by implementing these five tips.

1. Have a space for the small things.

Whether you have your hats, apparel and other gear scattered about, or a bunch of seemingly useless game-day gadgets, you’ll want somewhere to store them once the game is over.

2. Install an entertainment unit.

It’s not about how big your television is; it’s about what your TV is displayed in or around that matters. Set up a media center complete with the most up-to-date electronic devices and extra speakers for added effect.

3. Invest in extra shelving space.

Even with the space available in a media center, be sure to have some supplemental shelving to display sports memorabilia. How else will you showcase your bobblehead collection?

4. Fly your flag. 

Don’t forget to decorate with your team’s colors. Even if you aren’t going to paint your walls blue and white for the season, you can still show your spirit by hanging a team flag, pennant or other memorabilia on the wall.

5. Keep the game in sight.

When you have your entertainment room decor picked out, take note of where things are set up. Additionally, make sure not to block anyone’s view of the game. For example, if your TV is mounted to the wall, take care to place larger shelving units accordingly so they aren’t in someone’s line of vision.

Celebrate the beginning of the season by putting a few of these tips in action in your entertainment room. When all is said and done, just remember: this is your space!
