Last week we showed you the gorgeous master bedroom featured in this year's DIY Network Blog Cabin® and told you how to enter for a chance to win this lakeside bungalow in Winter Haven, Florida during the 2014 DIY Network Blog Cabin Sweepstakes®. This week we're moving on to the pantry to showcase how organization can make all the difference in your vacation cooking habits. Here are a few pantry tips you can use in your own vacation home:

1. Give a cottage's small kitchen the illusion of extra space by adding glass doors onto the pantry. Glass doors create a more open look versus solid wood doors - plus their elegance factor can't be beat!

2. Since this is, after all, a vacation home, make sure to have space in the pantry for entertaining essentials. A built-in wine rack and shelves or stemware racks for glasses will provide you plenty of room for your favorite reds and whites from the local vineyard.

It's important to always keep track of the food you have stocked on vacation - coming back to a vacation home after a season away only to find you left behind a piece of last year's produce is no way to start a lakeside getaway! Wire baskets offer an open view of their contents so it's easy to scan your pantry for supplies.
